Dominion Bilbao Basket bolstered its backcourt for the upcoming 7DAYS EuroCup campaign with the return of veteran playmaker Javi Salgado who signed a one-year deal with his hometown club on Monday. Salgado (1.80 meters, 36 years old) arrives from Moviestar Estudiantes where he spent the past two campaigns. Last season coming off the bench he posted 5.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists. Salgado grew up in Bilbao, and started his professional career with Patronato Bilbao and Elmar Leon, before joining Bilbao Basket in 2001. There he spent following 9 seasons, helping the club ascend to the Spanish League top flight and make a EuroCup debut. Salgado has played a pair of EuroCup season before leaving to join Gipuzkoa Basket in 2010, but now returns to the club, and to the competition, after 6 years away.
