Zenit St. Petersburg bolstered its frontcourt by inking power forward Aaron White to a one-year deal, with an option for another season, the club announced Friday. White (2.06 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Telekom Baskets Bonn, where he averaged 12.3 points on 61.5% two-point shooting and 6.3 rebounds in 10 7DAYS EuroCup games last season, his first as a professional basketball player. He spent four seasons playing for the University of Iowa, for whom he averaged 16.4 points and 7.3 rebounds in the 2014-15 season, after which he was named to the All-Big Ten first team. White left Iowa as the school’s all-time leader in free throws made (618), ranked second in scoring (1,859) and third in rebounding (901). He also played for Team USA at the 2013 World University Games in Kazan, Russia.
