Buducnost VOLI Podgorica shored up its backcourt by signing veteran point guard Nemanja Gordic for the coming season. Gordic (1.95 meters, 27 years old), who spent the past two seasons with Cedevita Zagreb, returns to the club with whom he started his professional career. Last season he averaged 4.6 points and 3.1 assists in 21 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games and 6.2 points and 3.4 assists in the Adriatic League. Gordic helped Cedevita reach the EuroLeague Top 16 and claim a pair of Croatian League and Cup doubles. He had previously suited up for Igokea Aleksandrovac, with whom he won the Bosnian League; Partizan Belgrade, with whom he won the Serbian and Adriatic League crowns; Virtus Roma of Italy and Azovmash Mariupol of Ukraine. Gordic first played for Buducnost for five seasons from 2005 through 2010 during which he led the team to four Montenegrin League and Cup doubles.
