Coming full circle after 20 years, veteran swingman Mindaugas Lukauskis has signed for his hometown club, Lietkabelis Panevezys, for its 7DAYS EuroCup debut this season. Lukauskis (1.98 meters, 37 years old) is a two-time EuroCup champion, in 2005 and 2009 with another Lithuanian club, Lietuvos Rytas, with whom he has played nine seasons, including the last two. Lukauskis has averaged 6.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.4 steals over an eight-season, 84-game EuroCup career that includes stops in EWE Baskets Oldenburg of Germany and Bilbao Basket of Spain. His average numbers in three Turkish Airlines Euroleague seasons and 49 total games are exactly the same. He played two of those for Rytas and one for ASVEL Basket of France. Lukauskis started his pro career in 1996 in the same club in his home town of Panevezys and played there until 2001. He has also played for Sakalai, Alytus and Prienai in Lithuania, Barcellona in Italy, Valencia Basket in Spain and Tofas Bursa of Turkey.
