UCAM Murcia added a big piece to its roster on Tuesday when it signed center Marcos Delia, who is currently playing at the 2016 Olympic Games for Argentina, for the next two seasons. Delia (2.09 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Obras Sanitarias of Argentina, for whom he averaged 7.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in the South American Championship for Men last season. He put up 3.4 points and 1 rebound per game in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. He had averages of 3.9 points and 2.4 rebounds in the FIBA Americas Championship last summer, 6.2 points and 2.3 rebounds in the 2013 edition of the same tournament. Delia debuted as a pro with Boca Juniors, where he stayed four seasons, before switching to Obras Sanitarias. Delia is playing for Argentina at the Olympics alongside Facundo Campazzo, who Murcia announced earlier this week will return at point guard for next season.
