FC Bayern Munich brought back a familiar and friendly face to the team, by signing veteran forward Alex King to a one-year deal with an option for another season, club announced on Friday. King (2.00 meters, 31 years old) grew up in Munich and started with basketball in Bayern's youth teams before going on to play professionally with Frankfurt Skyliners, Telekom Baskets Bonn, s.Oliver Wuerzburg and the past three seasons with ALBA Berlin. King has made his 7 DAYS EuroCup debut back in 2002 with Skyliners, and since then has played in a total of seven seasons in competition, appearing in 70 games and mostly in a role of the bench has averaged 3.9 points and 2.8 rebounds. Last season with ALBA he had 4.2 points, 3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 17 games, helping the Berliner reach EuroCup eighthfinals where they lost to Bayern. He also had 5.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists in German League. King has been a member of the German national team, having played at the EuroBasket in 2013 and 2015.
