Lietkabelis Panevezys fortified its backcourt ahead of its debut 7DAYS EuroCup by signing Lorenzo Williams for the remainder of the season. Williams (1.91 meters, 31 years old) had been on trial with the club for two weeks and proved to be just what management and the coaching staff were looking for. He arrives from German club Eisbaren Bremerhaven, where he played the previous two seasons. Last season Williams averaged 5.5 points and 2.2 assists in a reserve role after posting 10.7 points, 5.9 assists and 1.3 steals over 28 games as a starter the season before. He has also played for Giessen 46ers and Weissenhorn in Germany and BK Ventspils in Latvia as well as for clubs in Hungary, Slovakia and Ukraine.
