Valencia released center Bryant
Valencia Basket released John Bryant, the club announced Friday. Bryant, 29, is a former All-EuroCup First Team selection. He signed with the club in August and took part in preseason training, however with the start of official games the club had chosen to go in a different direction with Bojan Dubljevic, Luke Sikma, Will Thomas and Pierre Oriola as the main cogs in Coach Pedro Martinez’s frontcourt. Bryant started his European career with German club ratiopharm Ulm before spending the previous three seasons with FC Bayern Munich. He was selected as the German League MVP in both 2012 and 2013 and named to the All-EuroCup First Team after the 2012-13 season, in which he posted 16 points and 9 rebounds over 13 games.
