Montakit Fuenlabrada added depth to its roster for the remainder of the 7 DAYS EuroCup regular season with the addition of veteran center Xavi Rey, who signed a two-month deal. Rey (2.10 meters, 29 years old) started last season with Iberostar Tenerife in Spain, then moved to Estudiantes where in 24 Spanish League games posted 6.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. Rey has a pair of EuroCup seasons under his belt, playing with Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas, and has a career average of 8.2 points and 4 rebounds in the competition. Rey grew up with FC Barcelona Lassa and briefly played there professionally, too. He has spent entire career in his native Spain, and also played with Cornella, Cantabria, Manresa, Sevilla. Playing for Spain he has won a bronze medal at the Eurobasket 2013.
