MZT Skopje goes with Nazor as head of bench
MZT Skopje Aerodrom has appointed Ante Nazor as the new head coach until the end of the season, club announced on Friday. Nazor, 38 years old, will replace Aleksandar Joncevski at the bench of the Macedonian champion. Nazor is the third head coach for MZT in this young season, after club parted ways Joncevski, and previously Emil Rajkovic who started the season as team’s head of bench. MZT has not opened the season the way it hoped and wanted, as it holds 0-5 record in Group A of the 7DAYS EuroCup, and has 2-7 record in the Adriatic League. Nazor has spent the past three years on the bench of KK Zadar of his native Croatia, and in the past he has also led his hometown team, the former three-time continental champion KK Split. In the past decade, Nazor has had big success with Croatian youth national teams, winning seven medals with different categories, including a silver this past summer at the 2016 FIBA U19 World Championships. Nazor is expected to lead the first practice on Sunday, and will make his EuroCup debut in Round 8 when MZT visits Cedevita Zagreb in the Croatian capital.
