Cedevita adds playmaker Boatright
Cedevita Zagreb added more fire power to its backcourt by inking playmaker Ryan Boatright for the remainder of the season, the club announced Monday. Boatright (1.83 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Guangzhou Securities of China, where he averaged 24 point, 5 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 5 games this season. He started his professional career with Brooklyn of the NBA and also played for Detroit also of the NBA, Grand Rapids of the D-League and Betaland Capo d'Orlando of Italy, where he averaged 19.2 points in 11 games last season. Before that, Boatright had a sucessful college career with the University of Connecticut, helping it win the NCAA Tournament title in 2014. Boatright averaged 17.4 points and 3.8 assists in 34 NCAA games in the 2014-15 season, his senior year. He replaces Pierre Jackson, whose one-month contract expired, even when Cedevita is trying to keep him. Jackson averaged 33.5 points and 6 assists in 2 7DAYS EuroCup games with Cedevita this season.
