RETAbet Bilbao Basket signed shooting guard Lucio Redivo to a two-year deal, with an option to extend it until the end of the 2019-20 season, the club announced Monday. Redivo (1.83 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Weber Bahia Blanca Basket, where he averaged 16.9 points and 3.3 assists in 56 Argentinean League games last season. His numbers were even better in the Liga Americas tournament, where he averaged 22.1 points in eight games in helping Bahia Blanca reach the final. Bahia Blanca has been the only club Redivo has played for to date. He has also been a member of the Argentinean national team.
"He is a natural-born hard worker who grew up in Bahia Blanca supervised by Pepe Sanchez. He is a great scorer, with great personality, who is never afraid to step up in close games," Bilbao sports director Raul Lopez said. "He must adjust to a different brand of basketball, but we feel that we will offer him the right environment to make a smooth transition."
