Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem continued working to keep the core of the team that reached the 7DAYS EuroCup Semifinals and won the Israeli League championship by re-signing Curtis Jerrells to a two-year deal. Jerrells (1.85 meters, 30 years old), who won the EuroCup in 2016 with Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul, earned All-EuroCup First Team honors last season in his first campaign with Jerusalem. He started every EuroCup game for Jerusalem and ranked second in the league in minutes played (34:26 per game) and fifth in scoring (16.8 ppg.), while placing second on his team in assists (3.7). The veteran also knocked down 2.7 threes per game on 44.0% accuracy, which was third-best among players with at least 5 attempts on average. Jerrells previously played for five EuroLeague teams – Partizan Belgrade, Fenerbahce Istanbul, Besiktas Istanbul, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and Unics Kazan – averaging 11.1 points over 79 career games in that competition. He joins backcourt mates Jerome Dyson, Tarence Kinsey and Yotam Halperin in returning to the club for the 2017-18 campaign.
