Galatasaray adds shooting guard Hardy
Former 7DAYS EuroCup champion Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul kept getting ready for its return to this competition by inking shooting guard Dwight Hardy to a one-year deal, the club announced Friday. Hardy (1.88 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Trabzonspor Medical Park Basketbol, where he averaged 14.7 points and 2.7 assists in 30 Turkish League games last season. He was with Trabzonspor for three years and shined in the 2015-16 EuroCup season, averaging 15.8 points and 3.3 assists in 16 games. Hardy started his career with Giorgio Tesi Group Pistoia and played for two more Italian teams, Sidigas Avellino and Virtus Bologna, before joining Trabzonspor in 2014. Hardy also helped Trabzonspor reach the EuroChallenge final in 2015.
