Darussafaka Istanbul reached an agreement with forward Howard Sant-Roos to work together next season, the club announced Thursday. Darussafaka keeps an option to extend his contract until the end of the 2018-19 season. Sant-Roos (2.00 meters, 26 years old) arrives from CEZ Basketball Nymburk, where he averaged 13.6 points, six rebounds and 3.4 assists in 40 Czech League games last season. In his two years with Nymburk, Sant-Roos led his team to back-to-back Czech League titles, also lifting the Czech Cup trophy last season. He started his career with Bernareggio, Broni, Assigeco Casalpusterlengo of Italy, as well as for New Yorker Phantom Braunschweig and Spot Up Medien Baskets Braunschweig of Germany. Sant-Roos is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with Darussafaka next season.
