RETAbet Bilbao signs shot blocking extraordinaire Gladness
RETAbet Bilbao Basket signed center Mickell Gladness, who is best known for his shot blocking prowess. Gladness (2.11 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Estonian side Kalev/Cravo, where he averaged 8.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks over 24 games in the VTB United League last season. He also posted 8.4 points, 7.3 boards and 1.1 blocks in the Baltic League and helped the team win the Estonian League title. Gladness, who set an NCAA single-game record for blocks with 16 for Alabama A&M, has also played professionally for Miami and Golden State in the NBA; Reno, Santa Cruz, Dakota and Rio Grande Valley in the D-League; Jiangxi Xinye in China; Matrixx Magixx in the Netherlands; Maccabi Ashdod in Israel; TownsvilleIn Australia; Canterbury in New Zealand; and San Lorenzo de Almagro in Argentina. He will make his EuroCup debut this season with the Men in Black.
