Tofas Bursa fortified its backcourt by signing veteran guard Ivan Paunic to a two-month contract. Paunic (1.98 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Spanish side Montakit Fuenlabrada, where he has spent the past two seasons. He averaged 11.9 points and 2.4 assists in 14 7DAYS EuroCup games last season and 10.3 points in the Spanish League. Paunic has also played in the EuroCup for Buducnost VOLI Podgorica on Montenegro, Aris Thessaloniki of Greece and BC Azovmash Mariupol of Ukraine. He has also suited up for Vojvodina of Serbia, Ostend of Belgium, Nizhny Novgorod of Russia, Virtus Bologna of Italy, Astana of Kazakhstan and Lagun Aro of Spain. Paunic was a member of the Serbian national team that won the silver medal at EuroBasket 2009.
