Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem added another weapon to its backcourt with the signing of guard Kalin Lucas, who steps into the vacancy created when All-EuroCup guard Curtis Jerrells was released. Lucas (1.89 meters, 29 years old) spent the preseason with Orlando of the NBA. He brings with his experience from the top levels in Europe; Lucas spent part of the 2011-12 season with Olympiacos Piraeus, with which he played nine games in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. He later played a season and a half in the EuroCup with Banvit Bandirma. Lucas played in the NBA D-League last season and averaged 18.1 points and 5.0 assists over 48 games for Iowa and Erie. He has also played for Memphis in the NBA and TED Ankara Kolejliler in Turkey during his career.
