RETAbet adds size and power with Thomas

RETAbet Bilbao Basket bolstered its frontcourt by signing power forward Devin Thomas for the remainder of the season, the club announced Monday. Thomas (2.04 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Ronesans TED Kolejliler Ankara, where he averaged 11.4 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 27 Turkish League games last season, his first as a professional basketball player. Before that, Thomas played college basketball at Wake Forest University and averaged 15.6 points and 10.2 rebounds in 29 NCAA games in the 2015-16 season. Thomas has also been a member of the USA U19 national team.

"Devin Thomas is not very tall, but very intense with great rebounding skills, reaching 18 in a game against Pinar Karsiyaka. He is left-handed, has good moves in the paint and a good finisher. He is mobile, runs the floor well, can put the ball on the floor and is an above-the-average passer," RETAbet sports director Raul Lopez said. "We hope that his intensity and youth give the team extra energy."
