Limoges CSP bolstered its frontcourt by inking veteran center Tautvydas Lydeka for the remainder of the season, the club announced Friday. Lydeka (2.08 meters, 34 years old) arrives from Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari, where he averaged 6.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in 31 Italian League games last season, in which he helped his team reach the Italian Cup final. He started his career with LKKA-Rusteda Kaunas of his native Lithuania. Lydeka has also played for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk of Ukraine, Hanzevast Capitals of the Netherlands, Igokea Aleksandrovac of Bosnia and Herzegovina, AEP Olimpias Patron of Greece, Pallacanestro Cantu and Scavolini Siviglia Pesaro of Italy, Krasnye Krylia Samara of Russia, Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius and Lietkabelis Panevezys of Lithuania, Trefl Sopot of Poland and San Lorenzo de Almagro of Argentina. He has also been a member of the Lithuanian national team. Even when Lydeka has played for eight teams with previous EuroCup experience, he is set to make his competition debut with Limoges.
