Unicaja Malaga reached an agreement with shooting guard Adam Waczynski to continue together through the 2019-20 campaign, the club announced Thursday. Waczynski (1.99 meters, 28 years old) averaged 10.1 points in 27 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season. He ranked fifth overall in three-point shooting, hitting 51 of 103 shots from downtown (49.5%). Waczynski helped Unicaja win the 2017 7DAYS EuroCup title with 7.5 points on 44.7% three-point shooting and 2.7 rebounds in 22 games. He started his career with Wax Torun of his native Poland and also played for Prokom Trefl Sopot, OSSM PZKosz Sopot, Prokom Laudam Sopot, Victoria Gornik Walbrzych, PBG Basket Poznan and Trefl Sopot in that country. Waczynski also played for Rio Natura Monbus Obradoiro of Spain for two years before joining Unicaja in 2016. He helped Trefl Sopot win consecutive Polish League titles in 2012 and 2013 and is a regular on the Polish national team. This will be his third EuroCup season.
