Tofas Bursa and point guard Baris Ermis will be together for two more years after the sides agreed on a new contract through the end of the 2019-20 season, the club announced Tuesday. Ermis (1.94 meters, 33 years old) averaged 5.2 points on 44.4% three-point shooting and 6.1 assists in 10 7DAYS EuroCup games last season, his third in Bursa. He also helped the team reach the Turkish League finals. Ermis was tied with Quino Colom of UNICS as the third-best assist man in the 2017-18 EuroCup Regular Season. Ermis started his career with Anadolu Efes's cadet team and has also played for Pertevniyal, Besiktas Istanbul, Efes, Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir, Turk Telekom Ankara, Banvit Bandirma, Fenerbahce Istanbul, and Royal Hali Gaziantep of his native Turkey. He helped Efes win the Turkish League title in 2005 and lifted the Turkish Cup trophy twice - with Efes in 2006 and Fenerbahce in 2013. Ermis has also been a member of the Turkish national team, with which he won a silver medal at the 2010 FIBA World Cup and a gold at the 2013 Mediterranean games. In 33 EuroCup career games with Telekom, Banvit and Tofas, Ermis has amassed 195 points and 134 assists.
