Unicaja Malaga made the first addition to the team this off-season by signing forward Kyle Wiltjer to a one-year deal, the club announced on Tuesday. Wiltjer (2.08 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Olympiacos Piraeus, where he made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut and posted 4.5 points on 42% three-point shooting, along with 1.4 rebounds in 24 appearances mostly off the bench last season. Wiltjer helped the Reds reach the EuroLeague Playoffs, and the Greek League finals. Wiltjer spent the first season of his professional career splitting time between Houston of the NBA and Rio Grande Valle of the G-League. In college, Wiltjer played two years each with Kentucky University and Gonzaga University. He is following footsteps of his father Greg, who played pro basketball in Europe, winning Cup Winners Cup with FC Barcelona in 1986 and playing in the second Final Four of the modern era for Aris BC of Greece in 1989. Kyle Wiltjer is now set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut.
