Turk Telekom kept getting ready for its 7DAYS EuroCup return next season by inking power forward Metin Turen, the club announced Tuesday. Turen (2.06 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir, where he averaged 6.4 points and 4.8 rebounds in 30 Turkish League games last season. He started his career with Darussafaka Istanbul and made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with that team in the 2015-16 season. Turen has also played for Yesilgiresun Belediye before joining Karsiyaka in 2017. He has also been a member of the Turkish national team. Turen helped Turkey win a gold medal at the 2014 U20 European Championships and also got respective bronze medals at the 2010 U16 European Championships and the 2011 U17 European Championships. "Metin Turen is an important name in the Turkish national team, young and dynamic, who will contribute to Turk Telekom and increase the team's size" Turk Telekom Sports Cub president Sukru Kutlu said. "I wish him a lot of success with our jersey. At Turk Telekom, not only we are planning the new season, but also trying to take steps to make new generations love basketball."
