As Monaco announced that guard Yakuba Ouattara is set to keep playing for the team next season. Ouattara (1.92 meters, 26 years old) played just one game with Monaco last season, a French League showdown against Chalons-Reims on April 7, getting 12 points and three rebounds in 21 minutes. He started the 2017-18 season with Long Island of the G-League, averaging 7.4 points in 12 games. Ouattara already played for Monaco in the past, helping it win the French Leaders Cup in 2016 and 2017. He started his career with Chalon-Sue-Saone and also played for Denain ASC Voltaire before joining Monaco in 2015. Ouattara has also been a member of the French national team.
