Cedevita Zagrab bolstered its roster for the coming 7DAYS EuroCup season with two signings over the weeknd: shooting guard Vitor Benite and forward Elgin Cook. Benite (1.91 meters, 28 years old) arrives from UCAM Murcia, where he averaged 11.4 points on 41.0% three-point shooting in 34 Spanish League games last season. He debuted in the 7DAYS EuroCup with Murcia two seasons ago and averaged 9.8 points as the team reached the Top 16. Benite began his career with Pinheiros in his native Brazil and also played for Franca, Limeira and Flamengo before coming overseas to play for Murcia in 2015. He won the Brazilian League three times with Flamengo and also lifted the 2014 Intercontinental Cup. Benite won the gold medal with Brazil at the 2015 Pan American Games and the silver at the 2011 FIBA Americas Championship.
Cook (1.98 meters, 25 years old) last played for Ludwigsburg of Germany, where he averaged 13.1 points and 3.7 rebounds in 39 German League games last season. He played college basketball at the University of Oregon until 2016 and played for Santa Cruz in the D-League during the 2016-17 season.
