Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade added veteran experience to its frontcourt with the signing of big man Mouhammad Faye on Saturday. Faye (2.08 meters, 32 years old) spent last season with Promitheas Patras of Greece, averaging 12.5 points and 5.7 rebounds while shooting 58.8% on two-pointers, 40.1% on threes and 79.0% at the foul line. Faye began his career with Joanne D'Arc Dakar in his native Senegal before playing at Georgia Tech and Southern Methodist of the NCAA. He turned pro with Rio Grande of the NBA D-League before making his European debut with Hyeres-Toulon of France in 2011. Faye has since been a regular in the Greek League, playing with Ikaros Kallitheas, Panelefsiniakos and Rethymno before Patras. He also spent the 2015-16 season in the Italian second division with Varese and joined Sagesse of Beirut, Lebanon briefly.
