Zenit brings in veteran Panin
Just in time for the start of training camp this week, Zenit St Petersburg added veteran experience to its lineup by signing forward Vadim Panin for the upcoming 7DAYS EuroCup season. Panin (2.03 meters, 34 years old) boasts a 16-year pro career, all in his native Russia, of which six seasons have been spent in the EuroCup and Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. He played last season for another Russian club, Nizhny Novgorod, the same team with whom he reached the EuroCup semifinals back in 2013-14 while averaging 9.8 points that season. Overall, in 52 career EuroCup games, Panin has put up 5.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game playing for Nizhny, UNICS Kazan and Triumph Lyubertsy. He has also played for Dynamo Moscow, Rostov, Ural Great and Vladivostok.
