Cholet Basket pens Jomby to three-year deal

Rudy Jomby - BCM GravelinesCholet Basket announced Friday that it has signed swingman Rudy Jomby to a three-year deal. Jomby (1.96 meters, 24 years old) will be reunited with former coach Jean-Manuel Sousa, who coached Jomby at the start of his career at Le Havre. He arrives from BCM Gravelines -Dunkerque, where he averaged 9.3 points on 41.1% three-point shooting and 3.3 rebounds in the Eurocup in helping his team reach the Last 16. Jomby tallied 9.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in the French League, where his team went 27-3 and finished the regular season in first place. Jomby grew up at Le Havre, played in his first senior games as a teenager at the end of the 2006-07 season and was a regular the following year. He has spent the past two season with Gravelines, which he helped win the 2011 Semaine d'As. Jomby has also played for the French national team at the junior level.
