Azovmash adds veteran power forward Dragicevic

Tadija Dragicevic - Alba BerlinAzovmash Mariupol announced the signing of Eurocup veteran Tadija Dragicevic, who will mark his seventh season in the competition this season. Last season was his first since 2006 that Dragicevic (2.05 meters, 26 years old) did not play in the Eurocup. Instead he averaged 10.6 points and 6.4 rebounds for Angelico Biella in the Italian League. For his career, Dragicevic has averaged 11.8 points over 53 Eurocup games for Crvena Zvezda and Alba Berlin. His 628 points scored rank 24th in competition history. He is tied for 13th all-time with 90 career three-pointers made. Dragicevic is a project of the Crvena Zvezda youth system. He debuted with the senior as an 18-year old and after a season on loan with Mega Ishrana Belgrade, came back to Crvena Zvezda with an important role. By the 2007-08 season, Dragicevic led the team in scoring with 18.4 points per game in 14 Eurocup appearances. He left his boyhood club for Virtus Roma in January 2010. After half a season there, he played one each in Berlin and Biella. The big man also played for the Serbian national teams at the junior levels and won a gold medal at the 2006 European Under-20 Championships.
