Cholet Basket tabs big man Bryant

Cholet Basket reinforced its frontcourt by signing veteran center Travon Bryant for the coming season. Bryant (2.07 meters, 29 years old) arrives from fellow French club Le Mans, for whom he played in both the Eurocup and the French League last season. The athletic big man, who joined Le Mans as an injury replacement in November, posted 5.8 points, 3 rebounds and 0.4 blocks as a reserve in five Eurocup games. He was good for 5.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in the French League as he helped push the team toward the playoff finals. Bryant also played in France in the 2010-11 season with Pau-Lacq-Orthez. After playing college basketball at the University of Missouri, Bryant has suited up for Iraklis Thessaloniki, Kolossos Rhodes, Maroussi, AEK Athens and Panionios in Greece, Benetton Treviso in Italy, Frankfurt Skyliners in Germany, Budivelnik in Ukraine and the aforementioned French clubs.
