Rytas Vilnius strengthened its backcourt by signing veteran point guard Rok Stipcevic, who has spent the past three seasons with Italian side Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari. Stipcevic (1.86 meters, 32 years old) is a EuroCup veteran with 58 games over seven campaigns in the competition under his belt with Zadar of his native Croatia, Virtus Rome and Sassari. He helped Zadar reach the EuroCup Quarterfinals in 2009. Stipcevic has also played in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague for Cibona Zagreb, AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan and Sassari and has represented his native Croatia at the European and World Championships. With Rytas, Stipcevic will provide important backcourt depth with starting point guard Chris Kramer battling injuries.
