Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt went limping into the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16 on Thursday with two more injures that will follow them into the new phase. Skyliners announced before tipping off against fellow German squad ratiopharm Ulm that two more players are injured going forward into the Top 16. Swingman Akeem Vargas is expected to miss three weeks with a hamstring injury, while Trae Bell-Haynes will miss six weeks with a torn ankle ligament and bone bruise. Their injuries were added to four others that could not play on Thursday: Jonas Wohlfarth-Bottermann (foot), Leon Kratzer (knee), Brady Heslip (shoulder), and Niklas Kiel (concussion). As such, Skyliners faced their first game at this level with just 10 players on the roster.
