ASVEL's big man Kaba, out three months

It's a tough season for LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne's big man Alpha Kaba. In late August, Kaba (2.08 meters, 23 years old) suffered an elbow injury that had him sidelined until Round 9 of the 7DAYS EuroCup regular season. Only a few weeks after his return however, Kaba is set to miss another three months of action, this time due to a left ankle injury he suffered in a domestic league game last Sunday. Kaba will not need surgery, but his foot will have to be immobilized for at least six weeks, and he will also need total rest for at least three months. This means that Kaba will not be able to help his team, which already qualified for the quarterfinals, go all the way in the EuroCup. In his six appearances in the EuroCup this season, Kaba averaged 9.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.0 steals in over 21 minutes on court.
