Tobey is anchoring Valencia's interior 'D'

Valencia Basket's unbeaten run through the 7DAYS EuroCup playoffs so far has a star: defense. In sweeping Rytas Vilnius from the quarterfinals and winning Game 1 of the semis from UNICS Kazan, the Spanish side has held its opponents to 61.3 points on average. Rytas and UNICS have shot a combined 39.8% on two-pointers in those three games as Valencia's big men have patrolled the paint like bouncers. They have produced 14 blocks over those three games, with half of them perpetrated by center Mike Tobey. Look for that theme in Game 2 if UNICS is to defend its home floor and prolong the series.
