Asseco Arka Gdynia and playmaker Krzysztof Szubarga agreed to terms on a contract that will keep the sides together through the end of the 2020-21 season, the club announced Thursday. Szubarga (1.78 meters, 34 years old) averaged 6.1 points and 2.6 assists in nine 7DAYS EuroCup games last season, his third in his second stint with the club. Szubarga played for the then-called Asseco Prokom Gdynia from 2010 to 2012 and lifted the Polish League trophy in 2011. He started playing professional basketball for his hometown club, ITK Notec Inowroclaw, and has spent most of his career in his native Poland playing for Polpak Swiecie, SPEC Polonia Warszawa, Atlas Stal Ostrow, Anwil Wloclawek and ASZ Koszalin. Szubarga also played for MBC Mykolaiv in Ukraine. He has been a member of the Polish national team, too.
