Galatasaray Doga Insurance Istanbul bolstered its roster by signing guard Yigit Arslan for two seasons, the club announced Thursday. Arslan (1.98 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Tofas Bursa, where he has spent his entire career. Arslan averaged 3.6 points and 1.0 assist in 10 games as a reserve in the 7DAYS EuroCup last season. He did better in the Turkish League, averaging 7.3 points on 44.1% three-point shooting and 2.9 rebounds in 32 games, helping Tofas reach the semifinals. Arslan has been a member of the Turkish national team. He helped Turkey win a gold medal at the 2014 U18 European Championships, as well as respective bronze medals at the 2015 U19 World Championships and the 2016 U20 European Championships.
