Unicaja Malaga bolstered its frontcourt with the signing of center Volodymyr Gerun to a two-year deal with an option for the 2021-22 season, the club announced Friday. Gerun (2.08 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Cafes Candelas Breogan Lugo, where he averaged 11.3 points and 6.5 rebounds in 32 Spanish League games last season. He started his career with Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in his native Ukraine and has also played for Getafe, Basquet Lleida, Clavijo Logroño and FC Barcelona's second team before joining Breogan a year ago. Gerun has also been a member of the Ukrainian national team. He is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with Unicaja.
