Darussafaka Tekfen Istanbul reached a new agreement with combo guard Kartal Ozmizrak to keep working together next season, the club announced Tuesday. Ozmizrak (1.89 meters, 23 years old) averaged 5.8 points and 2.3 assists in 23 Tuirkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season. He helped Darussafaka win the 7DAYS EuroCup title in 2018. Ozmizrak started his professional basketball career with Besiktas Istanbul and also played for Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi before joining Darussafaka in 2017. He has also been a member of the Turkish national team. Ozmizrak helped Turkey win respective gold medals at the 2013 U18 European Championships and the 2014 U20 European Championships. He also won a bronze medal at the 2015 U20 European Championships and won three titles with Besiktas - Turkish League, Turkish Cup and EuroChallenge - in 2012.
