AS Monaco fortified its froncourt by re-signing center Eric Buckner for an extra season, the club announced Tuesday. Buckner (2.13 meters, 29 years old) averaged 8.2 points on 76.9% two-point shooting and 4.7 rebounds in six 7DAYS EuroCup games with Monaco last season, in which he helped his team reach the French League finals. Bucker started the 2018-19 season with fellow French side LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, where he played on a short-term contract as a replacement for center Alpha Kaba. In seven EuroCup appearances with ASVEL, Buckner posted 7.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists. He started his career with Usak Universitesi of the Turkish second division. Buckner has also played for Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi, Turk Telekom Ankara and Demir Insaat Buyukcekmece Basket of Turkey, Aris Thessaloniki of Greece, and Henan Shedianjaojiu of China.
