Darussafaka joins forces with Ragland

Darussafaka Tekfen Istanbul found a veteran scorer and leader in Joe Ragland, who signed a one-year deal with the club on Friday. Ragland (1.81 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, which he represented last season in his third 7DAYS EuroCup campaign. He was among the league leaders in scoring, assists and performance index rating last season. Ragland's 6.0 assists per game were second-most in the competition, his performance index rating of 16.8 ranked third and his 14.8 points were fourth-best. He helped Zvezda win both the Adriatic and Serbian League championships last season.

Ragland played his first two EuroCup seasons with FoxTown Cantu and Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar, the latter of which he led to the 2018 EuroCup Finals where the team fell to his new club, Darussafaka. He has played a season each in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan and Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir, too. Ragland has also played for Murcia of Spain and Avellino of Italy.
