MoraBanc bags former champ Musli

MoraBanc Andorra bulked up in the paint by signing center former 7DAYS EuroCup champion Dejan Musli for the coming season, the club announced Sunday. Musli (2.13 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Chinese team Hebei Xianglan, where he averaged 13.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game last season. He last played in the EuroCup with Unicaja Malaga, with he won the title in 2017. Musli tallied 11.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game that season and was named to the All_EuroCup First Team. He has played four Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season s with four different clubs: Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, Partizan Belgrade, Unicaja and Brose Bamberg. Musli also played for Spanish clubs Fuenlabrada and Manresa as well as for FMP, Mega Vizura and Mega Leks in Serbia. A storied player at the junior level, he led FMP to back-to-back Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament crowns in 2009 and 2009 and was tournament MVP both times. Musli also won gold medals at the U16 and U19 European championships with Serbia and has played for the senior national team, too.

"For us, he is a reference in the paint who comes to help Moussa grow and will give us stability at center," general manager Francesc Solana said. "I think we have the center position covered with many guarantees. We hope that he will be an important player in the league again. He has already let us know his desire to be a featured player this season."
