Rytas inks shooting threat Cruz

Rytas Vilnius added a scoring threat to its backcourt for the upcoming 7DAYS EuroCup campaign by signing guard Pako Cruz, the club announced on Saturday. Cruz (1.91 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Spanish side Montakit Fuenlabrada, where he spent the past three years. Last season in the Spanish League, Cruz averaged 14.4 points on 40.9% three-point shooting, 2.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists. In the Basketball Champions League he posted 13.0 points, 2.8 assists and 2.4 rebounds, making 43.4% of his three-point attempts. In the 2016-17 campaign, Cruz made his EuroCup debut with Fuenlabrada when he posted 10.5 points while helping the team reach Top 16. Cruz has previously played with VEF Riga of Latvia, he had a stint with Ciclista Olimpico in Argentina, while in his native Mexico he played with Halcones Rojos de Veracruz and briefly with Pioneros de Quintana Roo-Cancun. Cruz is also a member of the Mexican national team.
