Joventut acquires sharpshooter Prepelic on loan

Joventut Badalona added a big scoring threat into its backcourt with the arrival of guard
Klemen Prepelic
on loan from Real Madrid, the club announced on Tuesday. Prepelic (1.91 meters, 26 years old) helped Real reached the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four and win the Spanish League title last season. Playing limited minutes he averaged 3.8 points in the EuroLeague and posted 4.2 points in the Spanish League action. Prepelic already has four 7DAYS EuroCup seasons under his belt, and the last time he played in the competition he averaged 15.7 points and 1.8 assists with Levallois Metropolitans of France. He also has a EuroCup season apiece with Banvit Bandirma of Turkey, Union Olimpija Ljubljana from his native Slovenia and EWE Baskets Oldenburg of Germany. In 53 EuroCup games with Banvit, Olimpija, Oldenburg and Levallois, Prepelic has averaged 8.7 points and 20 assists. Prepelic started his career with Branik Maribor and played for Helios Domzale and Olimpija in Slovenia, and Limoges CSP in France. Prepelic has also been a regular with the Slovenian national team, which he helped win the gold medal at EuroBasket 2017.
