Asseco Arka Gdynia brought in some more veteran presence to its roster with the addition of swingman Marcin Malczyk, the club announced on Wednesday. Known for his hustle and leadership, Malczyk (1.93 meters, 37 years old) arrives from Politechnika Gdanska where last season in the Polish third division he averaged 15.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.6 steals per game, leading the team in earning promotion into Polish second division. Malczyk started his professional career two decades ago and has spent the last 20 years with a dozen different Polish mostly lower division teams, including Arka’s second team in the 2010-11 season. Now, in the late stage of his career, he is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut.
