As announced by the club on Wednesday, Darussafaka Tekfen Istanbul big man Emircan Kosut will have to miss most of the season due to shoulder problems. Kosut (2.16 meters, 24 years old) suffered a shoulder injury during the preseason and he is expected to undergo surgery in the upcoming days. The club estimates his recovery period to last until February of 2020, so he will miss the regular season, including tonight's season opener at Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana, and most of the Top 16 in case Darussafaka advanced. This is Kosut's second year at Darussafaka as last season he averaged 3.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in 15 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games.
