EWE Baskets Oldenburg strengthened its backcourt by inking combo guard Tyler Larson, the club announced Wednesday. Larson (1.90 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Boulazac Basket Dordogne, where he averaged 9.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 7 French League games last season. He started his career in Jekabpils of Latvia and has also played for Egis Kormend of Hungary, Zvaigzdes Pasvalys of Lithuania, Barons Kvartals Riga also of Latvia, Liege Basket of Belgium, Pallacanestro Varese of Italy, Parma Perm of Russia and Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt of Germany. "I am very happy that we have come to terms with a player who already knows the German League and has proved that he can lead a team very well at this level," Oldenburg head coach Mladen Drijencic. "With his basketball skills, Tyler is a good addition to the existing squad and he will revive the competitive situation in the team."
