Promitheas Patras added depth and experienced to its roster by inking former 7DAYS EuroCup champion James Bell for the remainder of the season. Promitheas had registered Bell before Tuesday's deadline for EuroCup signings this season, but only announced his acquisition on Thursday. Bell (1.96 meters, 26 years old) finished last season with Buducnost VOLI Podgorica, with whom he made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut and averaged 4.7 points in 16 games. He also helped the club win the Montenegrin League title and reach the Adriatic League finals. Bell began the 2018-19 campaign with Cedevita Zagreb and averaged 10.9 points and 3.1 rebounds in seven EuroCup contests. He won the EuroCup in 2018 with Darussafaka Istanbul, averaging 8.8 points in 17 games. Bell has also played for Vanoli Cremona of Italy, SLUC Nancy of France and Hapoel Holon of Israel, and has been a member of the USA U19 national team.
