MoraBanc Andorra reached a new agreement with head coach Ibon Navarro to keep working together until the end of the 2021-22 season, the club announced Thursday. Navarro, age 43, joined the team in 2018. He helped Andorra reach the 7DAYS EuroCup semifinals in 2019 and the Copa del Rey semifinals this season. Born in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Navarro started his coaching career with Baskonia's youth teams. From 2006 to 2014, Navarro worked as assistant coach for Tenerife, Menorca, Valencia Basket and the Puerto Rican national team. He went on to coach Baskonia, Basquet Manresa and UCAM Murcia before joining Andorra. In two EuroCup seasons with Andorra and with one game left to play this season, Navarro has a 21-15 coaching record in the competition.
