Limoges CSP of France has decided to extend head coach Mehdy Mary's contract for two seasons until 2022, the club announced on Friday. Mary, 40, replaced Alfred Julbe earlier this season and coached Limoges in one 7DAYS EuroCup game, a 77-58 road loss to the Partizan NIS Belgrade, which is tied for the competition's best record at present. Mary arrived from Union Neuchatel of Switzerland, the country where he began his career by coaching six seasons as an assistant with Olympic Fribourg. Between 2013 and 2017 he was on the bench of U-21 teams at ASVEL Villeurbanne and Limoges before moving back to Switzerland in late 2018. He has had a 7-4 record with Limoges in the French League since returning to the club in late December.
